We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and all they’ve accomplished during their time at Town! We’re thrilled to see them heading to such an impressive range of high schools, and we know this is only the beginning of all they will achieve.

As a culmination to their studies of the human body, 6th graders performed a “blood typing” lab. They were given blood samples (pink milk) to test against different antibodies (water or vinegar). They also had their first run with Punnett Squares while determining the odds of different blood types of offspring. This is a glimpse of 7th grade science where they will dive deep into the world of genetics.

Last Friday, as practice for next year, Kindergarten students visited the cafeteria for lunch rather than eating in their classrooms!

Nursery 3 students spent half of the school year exploring the topic of seasons. As part of their research, they learned about the changes each season brings, including weather, clothing, animals, food, and trees. To celebrate their learning, the students transformed their classroom into the four seasons and invited their families and the town community (including their buddies!) to take a walk through the seasons.

Town’s recent Science Night was an evening full of curiosity, creativity, and discovery! From 1st–4th grade students showcasing projects on chicken life cycles, habitats (in collaboration with Spanish class!), weather vanes, and energy transfer devices, to 5th-7th graders leading live science demonstrations and 8th graders presenting their impressive Rube Goldberg Machines, every corner of the school was buzzing with hands-on learning and innovation. Congratulations to all of our students and teachers who helped make the night such a success!

Our final All School Assembly of the year was one to remember and was filled with incredible performances, heartfelt tributes, and special moments that celebrated the spirit of our community. From Upper School Band’s performance of “Hotel California,” to Dance Ensemble’s tribute to “High School Musical,” Upper School Chorus singing “Cups,” and Lower School Chorus’s beautiful rendition of “A Thousand Miles,” the morning showcased the talent and joy of our students across every division. Plus, a 4th grader stepped into the role of Head of School for the day to lead the assembly!

The Class of 2026 played a meaningful role in their final All School Assembly, with students serving as performers, speakers, and leaders throughout the program. Students also honored two beloved retiring faculty members: Building Engineer Albin Stenka, who has been part of the Town community for 30 years, and K–4 Art Teacher Viorica Morris-Stan, who will continue sharing her talents through after-school art programs next year.

What a special way to celebrate another unforgettable year at Town!

Congratulations to all of our track athletes for their hard work, dedication, and growth throughout the season. We had an incredible year, with several athletes advancing to the Gotham Games and two student-athletes earning medals this past Monday. One athlete placed 4th in the 200-meter hurdles, while another earned 4th in shot put and broke the Town School shot put record at the Metropolitan Middle School Track & Field League Championships.

Go Timberwolves!

Kindergarten students had a fantastic time at their very first Field Day on Monday!

In a special connection to their classroom learning, the P.E. department partnered with K North and K South to make the shirts in line with their science Project-Based Learning units. K North chose to study about animal adaptations, so they chose the mascots. K South chose to learn about how clothing is made so they designed shirts to wear for field day!

Teams participated in many fun activities including a rainbow fun run, relay races, soccer, and splatter ball.
