Backwards and forwards. Rewind
and fast forward.
So much of the past few months have felt like one step
back and two steps forward. And two steps forward
and ten steps back. But I realize I don't know what I'm
measure this "feeling" or sense against. There is no
fixed point from which to measure "progress".
What is progress? Especially as the calendar turns the
page on a new year, we are inundated with messages of
New Years resolutions and improving upon our inherent
"brokenness" and not-enoughness.
This year, let's as a collective and as individuals ditch
the narrative of needing to do better. To be clear-
believe there's nothing wrong with hard work and
aspiring towards goals, but overall as a society we tend
hear the same overarching message
- work hard,
charge along and achieve. Climb the invisible ladder.
What if we invited in the moments and opportunities to
just be? What if we turned this striving-centric
paradigm upside down?
Gotta quote Missy Elliot here-
"Flip it [the
perspective] and reverse it"
Wishing you a happy and healthy new ear and new
perspective!

Merry on the ferry.
Spent the ferry trip in the car. While not the ideal setting to practice, I realized it’s not impossible to practice in confined spaces. 🤷🏼♀️ Here’s my little flow on the go. How do you keep moving when short on time and space?

Olympic season always inspires my inner child who always wanted to be a gymnast. Playing with shapes— circles and arches backbends and forward folds feels so invigorating.
What inspires your inner child?

Musings from “legs up the tree pose”... 🌴
Contemplating Earth Day a day early, but trying to honor it everyday.
How can we celebrate it? Go for a walk, plant a tree, hug a tree or, maybe throw your legs up one and observe how you feel as you observe it. 💁🏼♀️🌏
Nature is within us.
Nature is our nature.
Protect it. Celebrate it. Pay homage to our planet. Thank the trees for giving us oxygen, shade, lush greenery. Thank the oceans for producing oxygen and absorbing CO2, for the sprawling blue canvases for our imaginations so we can swim, sail or daydream in its waters... 🌊
Earth, we are part and parcel of you💕🌏💕 🌎

Happy — yes, it’s a thing!! Sleep is so necessary yet oftentimes so elusive. The more we “try” to sleep, the more anxiety we often create around falling asleep.
To celebrate napping day, not only will I be napping (jk, kind of)😉, but also sharing a complimentary yoga nidra recording to help you catch some 💤 s. Yoga nidra is a form of meditation practice to induce deep rest. It’s a practice of drifting between waking and sleeping.
If interested, DM me for your copy (this week of 3/15)
Happy napping!

Loving my phases of moon leggings... they are SO comfy, feel smooth as butter and don’t slide down. Use coupon code ygoodmyoga to get 25% off, website link is https://ygoodmyoga.com/. FYI, tonight’s moon is waxing gibbous. 🌙 🌝 🌚
Sit. Listen. Sit. Observe. This is not an easy thing for me to do.
I’m finding that these days of transitions and uncertainly, my tendency is to want to move and “do more”, and I wonder why I seem to end up feeling more frazzled and less grounded. I am learning to see when this habit of mine starts to pull me towards running, and instead, am trying (“trying” being the operative word 🤪) to sit a little longer, listen a little better and observe what is actually happening. As the wise says “this moment is the perfect teacher, and lucky for us it’s with us wherever we go”. Today, taking this moment to just be in the moment with nothing to fix or do.
Monday vibes. A little bit of this, a little bit of that flow to get things moving.
Another quarantine ADHD workout... which is why I take virtual classes. When left to my own devices workouts look like this 😬😬😵
Flowy flow flow for the whole body. Come swim through some shapes, connect to your breath and stretch it out with this 13 min sequence
Feel blah? Brain fog? Anxious? Shake it all out here in the 6 minute movement practice. Jump and twist to get the lymph flowing and heart pumping, and then cool and stretch...Shake, stretch, smile....rinse and repeat 🙃🤪💃🏽🙈
14 minute gentle(ish) flow for unraveling lower body tension. Here we stay low to the ground, prone, supine and table-top, to cool and calm the nervous system, using the floor for support. You may wish to pad the knees with a pillow or folded mat for the low lunges.
Sitting too long? Texting and typing too much? Here’s a sweet and simple 20 minute, full body flow to help unravel some of that accumulated tension. Enjoy!

The guy who makes me cackle laugh, stay goofy and who keeps me on my toes. Thanks Scottie Gold for keeping it real. 💕although I tend to consider Vday a Hallmark holiday, feeling the vibe to share the love. Happy love day to you and yours!💕
