Congratulations to all of our friends and colleagues across the Broadway community on an extraordinary Tony Awards evening!
Having spent much of my career working in this industry alongside so many gifted artists and producers, it was especially meaningful to watch such incredible work recognized and celebrated.

Happy Tony Day! More performances have been revealed for this year's Tony Awards, at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony will officially be an evening paying tribute to anniversaries of many landmark Broadway musicals. We already know we're getting numbers celebrating major anniversaries of Chicago and The Book of Mormon, but now we know we'll also get Rachel Zegler (due to return to Broadway in 2027 in Evita) performing a 50th anniversary tribute to A Chorus Line.
The evening will also feature Tony-winning Hamilton star Leslie Odom, Jr. singing "Without You" from Jonathan Larson's Rent, marking the Pulitzer- and Tony-winning rock musical's 30th anniversary while also honoring those we lost from the Broadway community this past year during the In Memoriam segment.

Some of our team saw Stranger Things on Broadway this week and were blown away (and a little scared). The performances and special effects were wonderful and we highly recommend the show for clients and colleagues.

Can you feel the excitement in the air? The 2026 Tony Awards are officially just days away, set to be held at Radio City Music Hall June 7. As always, you can count on Playbill to bring you the latest in everything Tony Awards, from news, winner reactions, stunning red carpet looks, and much, much more. Get ready for the big night with a rundown of Tony Night coverage.
First up, Playbill will be live on the red carpet as this year's nominees and Broadway's best arrive at Radio City Music Hall. You can watch live on Playbill.com and our YouTube channel beginning at 3:30 PM ET (start time is subject to change depending on attendees' arrival times). The livestream will be hosted by Playbill's Director of Social Media Jeffrey Vizcaíno.
The Tony Awards: Act One, a pre-show that will see many of the evening's creative categories presented, kicks off beginning at 6:35 PM ET, streaming live for free on Pluto TV's Live Music channel. Tony winner Laura Benanti and Broadway favorite Tituss Burgess will host. You can also keep your eyes on Playbill—both the website and our social media channels—for the latest winners as soon as they're announced. We'll also have live reporting throughout the night from the Press Room, where winning artists visit just after accepting their awards at Radio City Music Hall.
The big show, The 79th Annual Tony Awards, will begin at 8 PM ET on CBS (check local listings), with Grammy-winning Broadway fan deluxe Pink hosting. You can also stream the ceremony via Paramount+ with a Premium-level subscription via the live CBS feed. Non-premium subscribers will be able to stream the ceremony on demand after it airs. The ceremony will contain more winner announcements—including the evening's top title of Best Musical—along with performances from all of this year's Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical nominees. The evening will also feature a performance from the entire original Broadway cast of The Book of Mormon, celebrating the show's 15th anniversary on the Main Stem; a performance marking the 30th anniversary of the long-running Broadway revival of Chicago, featuring Queen Latifah, Pink, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alex Newell, Adrienne Warren, Cedric the Entertainer, Julianne Hough, Whitney Leavitt, Dylan Mulvaney, and more; and an In Memoriam segment backed by Leslie Odom, Jr. singing "Without You" from Rent, also marking that musical's 30th anniversary. And with Pink hosting, it's probably an easy bet that we'll get some other high-flying performances, too.

During every awards acceptance speech, the winners usually thank the many people in their lives who made their work possible: their partner, their children, their agent. In that vein, at the Meet the Nominees junket May 14, Playbill invited the 2026 Tony Award nominees to reflect on their craft, and on how they're able to achieve greatness on the stage. Actors revealed how they're able to perform feats like acting in super-high heels or belting high notes, while creatives shared how they were able to juggle multiple shows in one season.
