Are you a high school girl or non-binary student interested in working behind-the-scenes in theater, film, or TV? 🎭 🎥 APPLY TO OPEN STAGE PROJECT'S ACT 2 PROGRAM! ACT 2 IS A FREE YEAR-LONG PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES: - ATTENDING BROADWAY PERFORMANCES & career conversations with behind-the-scenes crew. - FIELD TRIPS to scenic, costume, and lighting shops. - One-on-one MENTORSHIP with industry professionals. - BEHIND-THE-SCENES SHADOWING opportunities backstage and on TV and film sets. - Building REAL-WORLD SKILLS like résumé writing, networking, & self advocacy. Tell them to apply to Open Stage Project's Act 2 Program! --- Act 2 is a FREE year-long program that includes: ATTENDING BROADWAY PERFORMANCES & career conversations with backstage crew. TOURING scenic, costume, and lighting shops. One-on-one MENTORSHIP with industry professionals. BEHIND-THE-SCENES SHADOWING opportunities. Building REAL-WORLD SKILLS like résumé writing, networking, & self advocacy. --- WHO CAN APPLY? Female, non-binary, and gender non-conforming rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors from New York City public high schools. TIME COMMITMENT: Act 2 runs Sept. 2023-May 2024. The program averages 2 exclusive experiences per month (approximately 6 hours/month) + monthly written reflections. PROGRAM COSTS: Act 2 is completely FREE to students. Open Stage Project's mission is to close the gender gap in backstage and offscreen careers by educating, mentoring, and empowering young women to learn about and gain pathways to pursue careers in theater, film, and TV. Open Stage Project is hiring a Programming Intern to assist OSP staff with planning and organizing Open Stage Project events and other administrative tasks as assigned. This is a PAID, HYBRID internship. The Programming Intern will be comfortable working virtually and independently, and be available to attend in-person events in Manhattan.
