PS 15 is so proud to announce that we will be providing a new food bank service for the families at PS 15 & PS 94!

We will be able to provide groceries to our families bi-monthly! The first pick-up will be tomorrow! Families can pick up their groceries at student arrival or dismissal!

Thank you so much to for making this possible!

This year has been rough! There have been so many challenges and things we have had to overcome. However, with so much negativity around us with Covid, PS 15 has made it our mission to shift our focus on all the great things happening every day in our classrooms.

As Principal Sanchez stated, “I for one am seeing awesome things happening. As I visit classrooms, I see individuals hard at work, making sure our kiddos are learning as much as possible. I see teachers being creative and maintaining a clear focus on supporting their students where they need it. I saw first graders participating in mindfulness breathing in a calm space, third graders learning to play the drum. I saw 4th graders learning in parallel teaching groups with tools, charts, and tons of support available. Our kindergarten and PreK classes started music and our second-grade class is keeping an eye on their frog. While Covid may feel like a disaster, we are far from one.”

It is support like this that makes PS 15 what it is. No matter what happens PS 15 will continue to thrive and strive for greatness. Thank you to our entire PS 15 community 👏🏽 We could not do what we do without the support of everyone involved.

Our 4th graders in 402 have been studying all about New York State in Social Studies. Today they explored the geographic features of the 6 most populated cities in New York State by looking at different types of maps such as a Topographic Map, Physical Map and Population Density Map.⛰🌎

K202 has been learning all about the post office and mailing packages and letters. We even wrote letters to our friends and families! We got to check out a real post office and learn all about how mail gets delivered all over the city.
