💥🌍 1st International Professional Graduation Ceremony in Libya – Northwest Africa

The Global University of Science & Technology (GUST), in collaboration with the Green Industry Center (GIC) Ministry of Industry & Minerals, Government of National Unity – Libya, proudly celebrated the 1st International Professional Graduation Ceremony in Libya – Northwest Africa, marking a significant milestone in international professional education and green capacity building.

The Certified Green Energy Manager (GEM) Diploma is the first international professional program of its kind in Northwest Africa, awarding a Dual International Certification jointly conferred by GUST and the World Green Economy Council (WGECO).

Under the academic leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed G. Kafafy, President of GUST, and the professional leadership of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Taher Elayeb, Director General of the Green Industry Center (GIC), participants successfully completed an intensive program covering Contemporary Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Industrial Energy Auditing, Net Zero Carbon, Green Economy, LARG (Lean, Agile, Resilient & Green) Management, and Sustainable Industrial Development, in accordance with international standards and global best practices. All participants successfully passed the international certification examination.

A highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of the Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration upon H.E. Mr. Mustafa Ali Al-Samou, Acting Minister of Industry & Minerals, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and remarkable contributions to advancing green industry and sustainable development in Libya.

GUST extends its sincere congratulations to all graduates and expresses its appreciation to the Government of National Unity – Libya, the Ministry of Industry & Minerals, the Green Industry Center (GIC), and the World Green Economy Council (WGECO) for their outstanding collaboration in strengthening professional education and accelerating the green transition across Libya and Northwest Africa.
