The Chad Foundation for Athletes and Artists

Our Primary goal is to promote early diagnosis of heart disease & its prevention through screenings.

According to the CDC, 5,000 young people between the ages of 15 and 34 years of age die annually from Sudden Cardiac Death that can be caused by a number of cardiac issues. The Chad Foundation for Athletes and Artists is working to reduce the number of tragic deaths by providing services that help to identify individuals with higher risk of cardiac problems and creating awareness for preventative

measures and emergency response. "The Chad Foundation Cardiovascular Screening Program" provides free screening clinics across the United States and internationally in order to provide Body Mass Index, Body Fat %, Cholesterol, Glucose, Blood Pressure, and Heart Rate measurements combined with a pre-screening Cardiovascular Questionnaire in order to identify individuals that may be at risk for future cardiovascular problems. Further The Chad Foundation provides all participants with echocardiograms that use ultrasound imaging in order to allow trained cardiologists to analyze 3D real-time imaging of the heart. In addition, the participant is provided with a free electrocardiogram that provides an interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time in order to measure the rate and regularity of heartbeats. Doctors utilize the results from the pre-screening, electrocardiogram, and echocardiogram in order to identify possible cardiac abnormalities and individuals that may be at risk for future cardiovascular issues. The Chad Foundation emphasizes the need for awareness, as many of the risk factors for cardiovascular issues can be reduced through healthy habits, and the risk of Sudden Cardiac Death can be reduced through awareness of the cardiac issues and the close monitoring of a physician. Knowledge can be a great power in reducing the number of tragic deaths that occur from Sudden Cardiac Death, and The Chad Foundation is determined to provide our youth with the correct information that can allow them to lead healthy and happy lives. Happy Birthday dearest Chad! We don’t count how long it’s been, but the glorious Gift of 26 years we had with you! You loved to dance, so today I dance with you to one of our favorite songs, “Holiday by Madonna” and invite all your Family and Chad Friends to join us in the Celebration of your Life!

We miss you more than words can say, but promise to live healthy, happy, and giving lives as you did. And I promise to continue to save hearts and minds through your foundation. We hope friends new and old will visit your new website, chad-foundation.org, to see our new program for providing scholarships of the heart to young people so their dreams can come true. (The old one was hacked by some un-nice people.)

Chad was just 26 and playing football when he collapsed and died from an undetected heart problem. His nonprofit org. has provided 10,000 preventive Echocardiogram and EKG screenings to safeguard young hearts. Now, we are reimagining our mission to include the “whole heart, inner and outer, supporting a heart-healthy lifestyle and healing the inner heart through Art and Youth Scholarships. We'd love to hear your thoughts on our new website. Also, we're seeking health professionals (cardiologists, exercise pros, heart-healthy chefs, dieticians) to share their expertise in our upcoming monthly interview program. Dearest Friends and Chad Friends,

My wonderful Ukrainian daughter-in-law and my special NY Ukrainian designer sent me these Christmas carols sung by Ukrainian choirs in NYC and in the Ukraine. Many of us have been listening to “Carol of the Bells” since we were little children. But I learned Ukrainian composer, Mykola Dymtrovytch, lost his life by Soviet Secret Police in 1921. What a beautiful Gift he left to the World. I hope you enjoy them; we are all just Neighbors of the World.
