Please join us in congratulating longtime FMDG Music School student Matthew Herrera! He has been accepted to Pace University in NYC as a part of the Pforzheimer Honors College and will major in Musical Theater.
Matthew Herrera is 18 years old, and began as a student at FMDG Music School at only 6 years old. He studied a variety of instruments, but the constant has always been vocal music, and has been featured as a soloist in The Fil at The Met Concerts, Museum of Broadway, Queens Night Market, and many more FMDG events.
Matthew will graduate next month from High Tech High School in Secaucus, NJ with a focus in musical theater training. Past performances have included roles in productions such as Footloose, Catch Me If You Can, A Chorus Line, The Lion King, Newsies, Frozen and earlier classical performances at the Museum of Modern Art and with the Morristown Festival Orchestra, Chancel Choir, and Drew University.
Congratulations, Matthew! We’re thrilled for you!
