Eternal Perspective:
The Bible encourages believers to live with an eternal perspective, recognizing that earthly life is temporary. In Matthew 6:19-21 , Jesus instructs, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." A life well-lived focuses on eternal rewards rather than temporary gains.
Faith and Trust in God:
A life of value is grounded in faith and trust in God. Hebrews 11:6 declares, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." Trusting in God's promises and providence allows individuals to navigate life's challenges with hope and confidence.

All men live in a natural kingdom of this world. They live in a city or village which is part of a
nation. That nation is a kingdom of the world.
In addition to the natural kingdoms of this world there are two spiritual kingdoms which exist.
Every person alive is a resident of one of these two kingdoms: The kingdom of Satan or the
Kingdom of God.
This course concerns the Kingdom of God. It introduces the two spiritual kingdoms, their
rulers, and residents. It provides spiritual keys for gaining access to the Kingdom of God and
warns of things which result in being cast out of the Kingdom. The past, present, and future of
this Kingdom are examined, Kingdom parables are explained, and its patterns and principles of
living are stressed.
Why is study of the Kingdom of God important?
Jesus told His followers:
And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14)
Before Jesus returns to set up His Kingdom in its final form, the Gospel of the Kingdom must be
extended throughout the nations of the world.
In order to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, you must understand the Kingdom of God.
Before you can become custodian to the keys to the Kingdom, you must first experience that
Kingdom.
In the past, much emphasis has been placed on the life and ministry of the King of the Kingdom,
Jesus Christ, and rightly so. But not enough emphasis has been given the Gospel of the
Kingdom. Jesus told the religious leaders of His time:
Ye shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men: For ye neither go in
yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
(Matthew 23:13)

1. Christ as the Light of the World
Jesus explicitly identifies Himself as the light of the world, a declaration that underscores His divine role in illuminating spiritual truth and dispelling darkness. In John 8:12 , Jesus proclaims, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." This statement reveals that Christ's light is not merely an external illumination but an internal transformation that guides believers away from the darkness of sin and ignorance.

Divinity of Jesus:
The divinity of Jesus is equally foundational, affirming that He is the Son of God, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father. This belief is supported by numerous scriptural attestations of His divine nature and works.
Pre-Existence and Divine Nature: Jesus' divinity is affirmed by His pre-existence and role in creation. John 1:1-3 states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made." Colossians 1:16-17 further emphasizes His divine role in creation and sustenance of the universe.
Divine Authority and Works: Jesus demonstrated divine authority through His teachings, miracles, and forgiveness of sins. In Mark 2:5-7, Jesus forgives the sins of a paralytic, an act that only God can perform, leading the scribes to question, "Who can forgive sins but God alone?" His miracles, such as calming the storm (Mark 4:39) and raising the dead (John 11:43-44), further attest to His divine power.

For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious
The "ministry of condemnation" refers to the Old Covenant, particularly the Mosaic Law, which was given to the Israelites at Mount Sinai. This law, while holy and just, highlighted human sinfulness and the inability to achieve righteousness through human effort alone. The glory of this ministry is evident in the dramatic events surrounding the giving of the law, such as the thunder, lightning, and the radiant face of Moses (Exodus 19:16-19; 34:29-35). The law served as a tutor to lead people to Christ by showing the need for a savior (Galatians 3:24). Despite its glory, it ultimately brought condemnation because it exposed sin without providing the power to overcome it (Romans 7:7-13).
how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness!
The "ministry of righteousness" refers to the New Covenant established through Jesus Christ. Unlike the Old Covenant, which brought awareness of sin, the New Covenant imparts righteousness through faith in Christ (Romans 3:21-22). This ministry is more glorious because it offers a permanent solution to sin through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, who fulfilled the law's requirements (Matthew 5:17). The righteousness of Christ is imputed to believers, granting them justification before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). This ministry is characterized by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live righteously (Romans 8:1-4). The surpassing glory of this ministry is also seen in its eternal nature, as it brings believers into a lasting relationship with God (Hebrews 8:6-13).
