Our great friend and Stephen’s Dirty Sock Funtime Band band mate and brother Mike Messer has just released this beautiful new album of all original music. Mike is a fantastic singer who works hard on his singing techniques and he and Tom McCaffrey are playing some awesome guitar. Lots to be inspired by here. We have listened over and over. At last weekend's LIVE JAM guitarist Massimo introduced an original song "Mastivan" he wrote in his online lessons to his bandmates. Sharing your own music, and collaborating with your friends is what our Live Jam are all about. Your rock Massimo!

Why join a Come Join the Band Live Jam? Because they are fun, in person, pro-musician led playing time. We think of them as the reward for music students, a chance to showcase the skills they have been working on independently. All musicians need social and emotional support and play!

These live JAM sessions launch music students to the next level, promoting song writing, band collaboration, and professional performance and studio skills.
The state of art Smash Studios , (307 W 36th St.) offers the same quality practice and performance space used by stars and musical legends like BTS and Harry Styles.

We have some slots open for our January 22nd Live Jam, with sessions at 12-1:30, 1:45-3:15 and 3:30- 5:00.

Learning an instrument is so much more than learning to play music. The struggle to be great and the passion to create, build character and resilience. Just check CJTB alumni Zion, dropping in to our December Live Jam to give back to other musicians what he learned as a student. Zion now works at Brothers Guitar shop on the UES. He is a talented musician and amazing person.

Luca joined his first live Jam at Smash Studios this past Saturday. We got him set up with a new midi controller and within minutes he was using his Akai MPK mini to trigger sounds that worked perfectly in the jam!
