Honored for the opportunity to partner with the Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center to transform the lives of students and educators through the Human Dignity Curriculum!

Sharing moments from today’s Human Dignity Curriculum Teacher Training with 𝐀𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 in Zamboanga City, in partnership with the Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center.

We’re grateful for the openness, insights, and passion of the teachers as we shared the mission of forming young people grounded in dignity, respect, and responsibility. Excited to journey together as these values come alive in the classroom.

The 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 (HDC) officially launched its pilot implementation in 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐋𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐞 through the educational program “𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞: 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦, 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.”

The sessions were conducted with 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟕 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 and 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟓 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, reaching 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 across both schools. The, learners reflected on core values such as 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐦, empowering them to make responsible and excellent choices in their daily lives.

As part of the launch, 𝐇𝐃𝐂 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚 and 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐮-𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨 paid a courtesy call on 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚 𝐒. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 to discuss the upcoming HDC pilot in Alangalang and key partnership updates.

We would like to thank 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬, as well as the school heads 𝐌𝐫. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐉𝐫., School Principal of Alangalang National High School, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨, School Head of Alangalang I Central School, for their strong support of this initiative.

We also held an alignment meeting with our research partner, 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, represented by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐂. 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐧̃𝐨, Vice President for Students, Internationalization & External Affairs, to discuss research collaboration and program implementation.

This milestone marks an important step in advancing human dignity education for learners and school communities.

We had a meaningful and successful launch of the Human Dignity Curriculum today at Assumpta Technical High School, with a morning assembly led by Lord Leomer Pomperada, HDC Expansion Director in the Philippines.

Lord Leomer delivered the talk “Lead with Purpose: Living Out Freedom, Solidarity, and Dignity” inspiring over 1,800 students to recognize their intrinsic worth and the importance of growing in human excellence.

Students learned that every human person has dignity that is universal, intrinsic, and inalienable, and that only human beings have the powers to think and choose, powers that allow them to build habits of excellence like courage, patience, humility and perseverance. They were also encouraged to become modern-day heroes through excellent choices and strong character.

We’re excited to journey with the whole Assumpta community as they begin their path in becoming true dignity defenders.

We are committed to the shared belief that every young person deserves the highest quality of human dignity education and international advocacy training in order to empower young people to become leaders who stand up for freedom and excellence in their communities and in the world.

During the “Dear You” activity at the HDC Young Leaders Camp, children received heartfelt letters from their parents affirming their worth and dignity. Many cried as they read, “You are loved. You are valuable.” One child whispered, “I’ll tell my parents I love you more often.” 💙

Children’s eyes lit up as they learned that their dignity is priceless and their freedom is meant for choosing the good. ✨

At the HDC Young Leaders Camp in Antique, Philippines, a 2nd grader ran home to tell his parents what he learned: “Freedom isn’t just doing what I want—it means choosing what is good.”

Over 80 students spent two days discovering that dignity is universal and that true leadership means serving others. 🤝

This camp didn’t just teach lessons—it transformed young minds. 🧠✨
