Earlier this month, the RoHawks travelled to Houston, Texas to compete in FIRST Championships for the first time in 9 years. Competing in the Milstein division, we had an amazing time working with and being inspired by other teams, as well as pushing the boundaries of what our robot could do. The RoHawks also earned the Industrial Design award for our unique robot design and engineering approach, marking team history with our first award at Champs. As we close out an incredible 2026 season, we would like to thank all of our mentors, advisors, sponsors, and parents, without whom this year would not have been possible. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the team! 💜🦅

The RoHawks are still celebrating an unforgettable NYC Regional for many reasons, but especially because our very own media lead, Maddie, was named a FIRST Leadership Award finalist!!

From supporting outreach and growing our marketing team to teaching and inspiring those around her, Maddie’s impact makes our team better in every way. A vibrant and genuinely welcoming presence both in robotics and out, Maddie’s passion and drive to make robotics accessible creates an incredible community within the RoHawks. This recognition couldn’t be more deserved.

ROHAWKS AT HUDSON VALLEY REGIONALS
This weekend, we competed at HVR and debuted our robot, Sandstorm!! We had so much fun, overcame many bumps along the way and are so so proud of how far we went.

Thank you so so much to the for the most amazing Week 0 competition and open field. We had such an amazing time testing our robots and seeing how far we, and every other team, has come during the season! We can’t wait to debut our robot next week at Hudson Valley Regionals, and we can’t wait to see everyone there💜.

Over spring break, the RoHawks once again ran a booth at the Intrepid’s Kids Week, where we introduced visitors to FIRST and engineering as a whole. Our team had an amazing time guiding kids through our circuit exploration activity and demonstrating our FTC team’s robot!
