KIPP STAR Harlem Elementary presented six individual musicals to close out the year. Each musical was connected with grade-level Science or ELA content. Kindergarten presented "Friendly Neighborhood Helpers" a musical exploring an array of important professions within our community such as fire fighters, mail carrier and dentists! In First Grade, students presented "The Garden Show" a musical all about the ecosystem of a garden and how plants and vegetables grow. Our Second Graders took the stage with a West African folktale called "Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock" which reinforced ELA concepts. Third Grade KIPPsters immersed themselves in the solar system culminating with "Vacation On Mars" a production that reflected everything they learned about space. In Fourth Grade, students learned about the negative impact humans can have on the rainforest and oceans presenting two shows: "Rumpus in the Rainforest" and "Tide Pool Condos."
Parents because our schools get to know each child so that teachers can meet them where they are and create unique ways to inspire them towards a future without limits.
