Splish, splash, what a memorable Water Study it has been! As our 3K study comes to an end, we’re reflecting on all the fun, curiosity, and excitement that water inspired in our classrooms. This exploration was filled with playful learning, joyful discoveries, and special moments that made this Water Study memorable for our students. Take a look at some of the highlights!

Measuring Fun! Our Pre-K students counted, compared, and wrote numbers to record their measurements of the length of different insects, while building early math and science skills.

Our Pre-K students brought their “Magical Yet” puppets to life, as they explored different types of eyes to create unique faces. With their designs complete, the children took to the stage, using their puppets to express feelings and act out emotions. A special thank you to Ms. Angel from Arts Connection for guiding the children through this creative process.

Little scientists at work! Our Pre-K students have been exploring insects and created their very own science journals to draw and label different insects during our Insect Study! Through observation and creativity, they are drawing, labeling, and recording what they know and have learned about insects.

Our Pre-K students had a blast using play dough to design their own insects! What a fun, fine motor experience that sparked creativity and imagination, during our Insect Study!

Thank you to all of our families who joined us for our Special Persons’ Day celebration! Spending time together creating beautiful artwork and enjoying fun activities made the day truly meaningful and memorable for everyone. We are so grateful for your continued support and for being such an important part of our school community!

From water play in our centers, to water hunts around the building, to creating with water in art, we’ve been discovering water’s qualities in hands-on, exciting ways. Hands-on learning in action! During our Insect Study, our Pre-K students used pattern blocks to create insects and a balance scale to compare the weight of different sized insects.

Little explorers on an outdoor insect hunt! Our Pre-K students had so much fun searching for insects, observing nature up close, and discovering the tiny creatures all around them!

Check out our Pre-K students as they explore storytelling and art with Ms. Angel from Arts Connection! In this engaging weekly program, children build language, creativity, and self-expression through puppet making and imaginative play. Inspired by the book the Magical Yet by Angela DiTerlizzi, the children are following the steps to create their own “Magical Yet”!
