NOTICE ABOUT THE FLOOD
Dear Friends,
We are shocked and heartbroken about the recent catastrophic flood in Nepal. Shechen monks and nuns are conducting daily ceremonies for the welfare of the survivors and rescuers and for those who perished.
Luckily, none of the Shechen facilities, monastics, and Shechen School children and their families were directly in the path of destruction. But of course, this tragedy affects all of us.
From Rabjam Rinpoche:
"We offer our heartfelt condolences and prayers to all those affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.
We pray for those who have lost their lives, for their families and loved ones, and for all those whose homes and communities have been affected.
May those who have lost their lives be guided toward a fortunate rebirth, and may all those facing hardship receive strength, support, and protection. We also offer our prayers for everyone involved in the rescue and relief efforts."
Many of you have inquired about how to help in this tragic humanitarian situation. Karuna-Shechen, our sister organization, is already in action sending immediate aid to the distressed communities. In the future, Karuna-Shechen will help to rebuild villages, schools, and medical clinics.
