Check out the article “The Art Mavericks Of Generation Z Make Their Own Rules” on newinc.org highlighting SOW’s very talented and inspiring members. Timothy Smith () is a self-taught 18 y/o Puerto Rican photographer from Chelsea New York. From portraits of friends to candid snapshots of nightlife culture, Timothy’s work has a way of harkening back to mythologized moments in time, sans nostalgia. “I always liked taking photos of other people, and people started to recognize me for it,” Timothy said. “When that recognition hit, I realized it was something I could do as a career.” Support young POC creatives like Timothy by donating to .nyc (link in bio). 📷: .7
