RUN After the UNKNOWNđź’Ą

As humans we are naturally chasing after familiarity. We are driven by comfort. We want the first class plane ticket or the nice massage chair, we actually live our lives to attain “comfort.”

As people we typically run away from what we can’t see or comprehend. The unknown is the field of pure potential and where all the wonderful things of your potential exist. We have to step into it to truly find out what our full potential is. It’s going to feel uncomfortable because we’re not familiar with it. Run to the UNKNOWN. If you’re feeling scared or uncomfortable that’s when you know you’re on the brink of something GREAT.

2022 Austin Marathon✔️

Unofficial Time: 3:05:42

What a way to bring in a new year of life. Super dope to have friends come in from out of town to come and run in Austin with me. I haven’t been able to train as much over the past couple of weeks, but wanted to come out here and give my best effort. I didn’t qualify for the Boston Marathon, but I hit a personal best for my marathon time. Sometimes in life you don’t have everything planned out, but you just step into the unknown and give your best shot.

After the race, we walked into Cava to get food and bumped into the legend , it was an added surprise to bump into him and talk running a little bit🤣

My next race…

Austin Marathon on February 20th.

The Austin Marathon will be my next attempt of hitting a sub 3 hour marathon and qualifying for Boston. Although the cut off time for the 2022 Boston Marathon has passed, I still want to hit a sub 3 hour marathon so I can qualify for Boston in 2023. The course in Austin is not easy so it will be even more rewarding to hit a sub 3 hour time and plus February 20th happens to be my birthday so what a better way to bring in a new year.

I’m excited to announce that I have partnered with .cc . They have some of the best running and athleisure apparel on the market. I’m excited to attempt the sub 3 hour marathon while representing .cc and the best running shorts on the market.

Beyond Grateful & Humbled to be Amongst this Company🙏🏼

“Don’t let the highs get you too high. Don’t let the lows get you too low.”

I’ve learned so many things over the years and this quote still holds true to me today. I remember you saying this all the time through the highs and lows of a season or life. It’s something that has stuck with me til today and something I try to embody in my life. We all face adversity at some point, but how you respond to that adversity speaks a lot about who you are.

I can honestly say I wouldn’t be who I am without this QO family. This group, team, community, coaches, and alumni make it special to be a cougar. Thanks to and everyone that allowed this night to happen!

Perspective Pigeon

Gratitude is the worlds most powerful drug. Appreciate everything, even the ordinary. Especially the ordinary. Many times people lack perspective because they don’t understand how well they are living compared to millions of others in the world. It’s so much easier to not complain about little things when you realize that having a place to sleep, access to food & clean water, and both feet on the ground is a blessing many don’t have.

What an experience… words can’t really describe it. Congrats to everyone that finished and attempted the marathon. Now it’s time to get back to work and shave off these last 9 mins!

Big shoutout to my guys .guyen for both hitting PRs! And major love to my bro for recording the entire race on the bike. I wouldn’t have been able to crush this run without your help!🤞🏽❤️

STRETCH YOUR LIMITS

Find what you think your limit is and go beyond it. People tend to go into things with expectations. Those expectations are often based on fear, or false beliefs about the limits of their own potential. To find your “new limit” it’s important to erase your old ones or the ones people have placed on you so you can realize you’re capable of far more than what your mind and body are telling you.
