Pelham Parkway-Van Nest Library This one-story facility houses adult, teen, and children's collections, as well as extensive World Languages collections.

Programs and classes for people of all ages are offered daily in the glass-enclosed community room. The Pelham Parkway-Van Nest branch of The New York Public Library is a modern building with a distinctive facade. It is located around the corner from the busy shopping district on Lydig Avenue. Today's is "Tokyo Ghoul" by Sui Ishida!

Ken Kaneki is living his ordinary life as a college student in Tokyo, but everything changes after he unknowingly accepts a date with a ghoul. Ghouls coexist with humans but they must consume human flesh in order to survive. After Kaneki is hospitalized from the deadly encounter with the ghoul, he discovers that he is now half-human, half-ghoul. He learns the ins and outs of ghoul society from ghouls that take him in and share their ways of living, while continuing to live as part of human society and hiding his new identity from his friend, Hideyoshi Nagachika. You are invited to The New York Public Library's eighth annual College Fair! The college fair will take place on Wednesday October 7th, 2026 from 10AM - 1PM at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building (42nd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan).

Over 45 colleges and universities will be present and there will be a variety of activity stations and college readiness presentations for you to take part in. Teens, families, and educators can reserve a spot at the link in our bio!
