MISS MOLLY
2016 - Palomino mare rescued from a killpen in Texas. Arriving in NJ and deemed dangerous bc she bit, struck, or kicked at humans. Except that Op Horse Veterans could approach and engage?
2017 - "Miss Molly" moved with SRoL and got a new job and a new life. NJ Veterans opened a door that saved her life, again. She has returned the favor several times.
2019 - Therapy Animal of the Year, NJ Dept of Veteran Affairs.
2020-2022 - Some set backs and challenges, in part due to being shut down from her people (Pandemic was crushing for SRoL).
2023 - Many changes, some very good. Change is hard on Molly. Sustained 2 self-inflicted concussions (June & Sept) and has a chance to rehabilitate with Dr. Maria and Dr. Judith M. Shoemaker as they both have experience in this situation.

Molly is not a riding horse! She is an equine-assisted therapy psychotherapy horse (on medical leave since 9/12/23), and while this idea may be "out there" we believe that she has more than earned the chance to try. The full month of care and rehab is $3,685. She has 1,425 so far...

(honestly even broke folk can toss Molly $10 bucks for her "chance".......and...ANYONE can share the fundraiser for FREE!)

As most would guess from the quiet time on this page - ALL of our workshops were cancelled in March 2020 / Covid19NJ... there have been conversations about resuming in the fall semester.

Meanwhile the Herd has been busy becoming virtual. Hay, when you’re suddenly unemployed you need to be creative and brave. Part of “NJ Virtual Herd” is videos. We have a new YT channel and this one here of the goats is one from Tiktok. The short clip of the goats is a wonderful example of clever clean body language. Can you see the dynamics going on?
