The 2nd Annual SIPA Students of Color Career Summit, entitled "A New Generation of Economic Empowerment and Political Activism", took place on November 4th in Columbia's International Affairs Building.
The opening luncheon featured a Keynote Address from Congressman Rangel, Mayor Dinkins and Mayor Nutter. The half-day event sought to highlight the leaders, entrepreneurs and activists on the frontline of the fight to empower and uplift marginalized communities at home and abroad.
Tickets are now available for the 2nd Annual SIPA Students of Color Career Summit, entitled "A New Generation of Economic Empowerment and Political Activism". The half-day event will feature the entrepreneurs, activists, and organizations on the frontline of the fight to empower and uplift marginalized communities at home and abroad.
The event will include both formal and informal opportunities for alumni and employers to interact with students —including a luncheon, interactive panel discussions, and a closing networking reception at Harlem Tavern. Co-sponsored by Gender Policy Working Group, Women in Leadership, Spectrum, Human Rights Working Group and the Technology and Innovation Student Association.
All ticket sale proceeds will be directed to a scholarship fund for underrepresented students at SIPA. All SIPA students, alumni and prospectives are welcome!
