We are unbelievably honored to be one of the non-profits benefiting from Yo La Tengo’s annual Hanukkah shows. Night 4! 🕎🕎🕎🕎 Been going to these shows since the Maxwell days. Thank you , Suzanne, and the many people on the stage and behind the scenes that make all these shows possible.

Making mini self-playing glockenspiels with 5th graders. Difficult to squeeze all the building into a period. Physically programmable with Lego technic beams. Needs a larger barrel to program more notes, but fun for a few recognizable notes of jingles.

We were at P.S 971 today building reindeer robots with 4th and 5th graders as part of “A Robot for All Seasons”, a monthly robotics class with a seasonal theme. Per usual, kids found a way to make it twerk.

Been a while, social media! We taught over 4,000 kids in local schools during the last school year. We'd love to keep doing that, so we're hosting kids camps & other events to help raise funds.

We have two camps for Rosh Hashanah school holidays on Mon, Sept 26, and Tues, Sept 27. Limited to only 9 kids. Read more about our funding needs and register for the workshops below:

History of Gaming for K-5 Students
Monday, June 14, 4-5:30pm

Students take a look at the history of gaming by looking at retro systems from the 70's 80's and 90s. Kids will learn about computing based on how game systems have changed over the decades. We'll also give a tutorial and tips and tricks on making games in popular coding tools for elementary school kids.

History of Gaming for Middle School Students

Students take a look at the history of gaming by looking at retro systems from the 70's 80's and 90s. Kids will learn about computing based on how game systems have changed over the decades. We also give a tutorial on game coming with a look at fantasy console apps, a way of game making that focuses on retro-style games.

Retrofuturism for K-5 Students

We mix futurism, social studies, and history to teach kids about the world of computer science Kids will look at how artists and scifi writers from the 1920-60s predicted the future. What did they get right and wrong? Students will create digital art projects to make their own predictions about the future.

Pool party! 💦 Test driving a ROV with classes at P.S. 896 for nature exploration and robotics. Props in the pool to add to the ambiance, but not much room for maneuvering in 14” of water.
