I recently attended a lecture by Madeleine Kunin on Balancing Work and Family. While it was clear that the moms in the audience wanted more on COPING with balancing work and family than necessarily to plunge into political life, Ms. Kunin said something that really stuck with me: "If you're not at the table, you are on the menu."

Tomorrow I will vote and my single vote will represent two of my kids and my non-US citizen husband who pays taxes here-one vote for 4 basically. Amazing to think how every parent's vote represents all of the people who can't say I want a good education and a happy healthy future!
