Some light reading about our favorite thing. Cervical fluid! This particular study compared PCOS cervical fluid structure (both ovulatory and anovulatory) with non PCOS cervical fluid. We need all the studies we can get when it comes to demystifying this very common condition.

Is Fertility Awareness Contraception Right for You?

Body love.
It’s (National Eating Disorders Awareness). Eating disorders and disordered eating affect the vast majority of people in the United States- a staggering 80%. Pregnancy can be a really triggering time for those affected. Diet culture is a pervasive monster and does not quit even during a time when we really really should be taking up more space and nourishing our bodies. Of course, we always should!! Find a provider who is weight inclusive and health at every size in order to not have weight biases affect your health outcomes. Nourish your body enough!! Move your body if it feels good! Most importantly, don’t be afraid to take up space. There is never a good time to shrink, and pregnancy is no exception. This is just a reminder that our bodies are so much more than what social constructs want them to be and this is a great week to take a second look at how we are thinking about and treating our bodies.

Gulp. 😮
Let’s talk about CL****AL SHRINKAGE for a moment shall we? Yes, it’s a real thing. Did you know hormonal contraceptives have been shown to shrink the cl****is by an AVERAGE of 20%? 😳😳 Let that sink in for a moment... ⠀
⠀
I have 2 chapters focused on the pill in The Fifth Vital Sign (Chapters 7 and 8). These chapters contain over 200 scientific references alone, outlining the side effects of hormonal birth control so you know what to expect if you are taking or have ever taken them before. It’s what your doctor should have told you...but didn’t. After all, if no one ever tells you the possible side effects you could experience it’s certainly NOT informed consent is it? Between you and me, I would like to keep my c**t in tact thank you very much 🤭🤬 ****is
