Position Summary:

Senior Pharmacist:

​Candidate must be available to work full time from 9am-6pm.
Must have atleast 5 years experience as a pharmacist.
Compensation: $65-$70/hr (negotiable based on candidate's experience).
Must be immunized.

Staff Pharmacist/Technician:

​Candidate must be available to work full time from 9am-6pm.
5 years of experience as a pharmacist is preferred.
Compensation: $60-$65/hr (negotiable based on candidate's experience).

If you will meet all graduation requirements by the end of Fall semester 2014, you will need to apply for January 2015 graduation no later than October 17, 2014. Awarding of January 2015 degrees will take place on January 16, 2015.

If you will meet all graduation requirements by the end of Spring semester 2015, you will need to apply for May 2015 graduation no later than February 6, 2015. May 2015 degrees are awarded on May 15, 2015.

You can apply for graduation through your myLIU account, prior to the deadline. At New York Pharmacy Conference where all pharmacy associations, colleges of pharmacy and government agencies meet, a request was made to reach out to those representing us in Albany in an effort to ensure the future of pharmacy practice in NY and the Medicaid Program.

At issue:
• New York has the lowest pharmacy reimbursement for Rx drugs among all 50 states
• Based on inaccurate "Average Acquisition Cost" set by the NYS Health Department which is lower than most pharmacies' actual cost for Rx drugs.
• Dispensing fees that are far too low to cover overhead.
• Historically, all third parties follow what NY Medicaid does.

Please take just a moment to complete this Advocacy request and get a letter to your legislator today. Enter information for your home and your work legislative districts to spread the message to all legislators with whom you have relationships.

This is not just an issue for pharmacy owners. It impacts everyone in every work sight.
