Crying at a commercial Monday.

Snapping at your husband Wednesday.

By Friday? You’re wondering why you made such a big deal out of any of it.

Welcome to the emotional whiplash of perimenopause.

And somewhere in there, you start blaming yourself.

Maybe I’m too emotional.
Maybe I need to get it together.
Maybe this is just who I am now.

No. In perimenopause, estrogen and progesterone can become unpredictable, and those shifts can show up in your mood, sleep, energy, cravings and the way you handle stress.

This isn’t about needing more discipline or learning to control yourself.

It’s about understanding what the hell is actually going on in your body.
You’re not failing. You’re flying blind.

That’s why I created my 7-Day Hormone Reset. Seven days of simple shifts around food, movement, recovery and regulation to help you start working with your body instead of white-knuckling your way through another month.

7 days. $7.

What you’re eating. How you’re training. How stressed you’ve been.
All three show up in your body. Watch this.

Look at this one. Slow. Stiff. Takes forever to bounce back. That’s what a body carrying inflammation from food, overtraining and stress actually looks like.
Now this one. Same pressure. Bounces back immediately.

That stiffness you just saw? That’s a body without inflammation piled on top of it.
You can be eating clean and still be the stiff one, because certain foods spike inflammation even when they look healthy on paper.

Add in workouts your body isn’t recovering from, and stress that never turns off, and you’ve got the exact recipe for the squishy that won’t bounce back.

So if you’re sore for three days after one workout. If you’re puffy. If you’re achy. If you’re stiff.

That’s not just aging. That’s food, training and stress all adding up to the same inflammation.

That’s why I created the 7-Day Hormone Reset, where we start exactly here: blood sugar, inflammation, and what’s blocking your recovery.

Seven days. Seven dollars. You’re worth it.

Comment RESET and I’ll send you the details.

Somewhere along the way, women were taught that becoming more required becoming less.

Smaller body.
Smaller appetite.
Smaller needs.
Less emotional.
Less tired.
Less much.

And if your body stopped cooperating?

Fix it.

Eat less. Train harder. Get more disciplined. Push through the exhaustion.

But what if the woman underneath all of that doesn’t need fixing?

What if your body has been adapting to years of stress, under-recovery, hormone shifts, inflammation, motherhood, careers, responsibility… and carrying everyone else?

I spent years believing pushing harder was the answer.

It wasn’t.

I stopped treating my body like the obstacle between me and the life I wanted.

I started understanding it. And everything changed.

Because this was never supposed to be about shrinking yourself into some more acceptable version of a woman.

It’s about having the energy to take up your space.

To feel strong in your body again.

To want things again.

To taste your edge.

To build a body that can hold the life you’re here to live.

Clear. Strong. Energized.

That’s the work.

And maybe the woman you’ve been trying so damn hard to “fix” is actually the woman you’re finally ready to become.

If this hit somewhere deeper than health or weight, comment BECOMING.

I want to know how many of us are done shrinking.

I left the house this weekend without covering the scars I’ve spent ten years hiding.

No foundation. No concealer. Nothing over the marks that are still there from years of cystic acne so bad I used to plan my whole day around not being seen in bad light.

Standing in the mirror this morning I felt it for half a second, that old flinch. The one that used to send me digging through three products before I could even walk into a room and look someone in the eye.

Then I just stood there. And breathed.

Here’s the part that took me years to understand for myself. My skin was never the problem I thought it was. It was the one place my body could finally get loud enough for someone to listen.

Every breakout, every night I stood in front of that mirror and cried, that was my hormones screaming what my body had been trying to tell me for years.

I still have the scarring. I’m not covering that up either, not on my face and not in this post.

But Saturday I looked at myself and didn’t look away. That’s not a good skin day. That’s what it feels like when a body finally stops being at war with itself.

If you’re standing in front of your own mirror right now and you don’t recognize what’s looking back at you, I know that exact flinch. I’ve cried over it. I’ve hidden from it. I’ve spent years making sure no one saw it.

You’re not vain for caring. You’re not shallow for wanting to feel like yourself again. You’re a woman who has been carrying something in her body that nobody explained to her.

If you’re ready to find out what’s actually been driving this, DM me READY. Let’s find out what your body has been trying to tell You.

The version of you that you keep chasing isn’t ahead of you. She’s underneath you, buried under every reasonable decision you made this year to keep everyone else comfortable but her.

Here’s the part nobody tells you. She isn’t waiting for you to get ready. She’s waiting for you to stop asking whether now is a good time, because it’s never going to feel like a good time. That’s not how becoming works.

I’ve watched this play out with almost every woman I’ve sat across from. She feels the pull toward her own strength, toward a body that finally feels like home again, and the second she feels it, every voice she’s ever internalized shows up to talk her out of it. Be reasonable. Be patient. Wait until things settle.

Things don’t settle. They just get renamed “later,” and later is where she stays buried.
You are allowed to stop waiting for permission that was never going to come.

You are allowed to want more than what you’ve settled into, and you are allowed to go get her.

Clear. Strong. Energized. That’s what’s already underneath everything you’ve been circling.

If this is landing, DM me the word READY and I’ll walk you through what actually changing this looks like.

Your breakfast might be working against your hormones before your day even starts.
Starbucks egg bites are marketed as a high-protein, convenient option. But the ingredient list tells a different story: carrageenan, modified cornstarch, tapioca starch. These are cheap fillers linked to gut inflammation and digestive disruption — and if you are a woman in your 40s, chronic low-grade inflammation is already one of the primary drivers of weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, and hormonal dysregulation.
What I order instead: the protein box with hard boiled eggs, cheese, and fruit. Real ingredients, stable blood sugar, no inflammatory additives.
Your first meal sets the tone for your entire hormonal and metabolic response that day. As a hormone and metabolic health coach with 25 years in health and wellness, I see this pattern constantly — women doing everything right and still feeling off, because the details are working against their biology.
If this resonates, follow me here for weekly hormone and metabolic health insights for women over 40.

Six workouts a week. Chicken and vegetables. Eight glasses of water. A supplement stack that costs more than your hydro bill. And the scale hasn't moved in four months.
Cool. Clearly the problem is you just aren't trying hard enough.
(It's not. Keep reading.)

Your body isn't being stubborn. It's being strategic. When cortisol stays high, it holds onto fat. When you overtrain, inflammation rises. When you under-eat, your metabolism slows down to protect you. It is doing exactly what a survival system is supposed to do.

The problem is you're not trying to survive anymore. You're trying to thrive.
That shift, from survival to thriving, doesn't happen by pushing harder. It happens when your body finally feels safe enough to let go.

This is what three days of training actually built for your hormones looks like.
Not endless cardio. Not punishment. Not more of what already isn't working.

Day 1 is strategic strength and metabolic work. Day 2 is functional movement and core. Day 3 is mobility and nervous system reset. The kind of training that tells your body the threat is over and it's safe to rebuild.

Save this and try it this week.
Comment STRONG if you want more perimenopause-friendly training.

I stopped doing cardio and lost more fat at 48. I know how that sounds.

For years I was on the stepmill, in the bootcamp, in the spin class. Sweating through workouts that left me wrecked for days. Eating less. Pushing more. My body held onto every pound and I kept blaming myself.

When I finally swapped cardio for strength training three days a week something shifted. Not immediately. But it shifted and it kept shifting.

Here is why. For women over 40 chronic cardio spikes cortisol. And elevated cortisol tells your body to store fat, especially around your midsection, as a survival strategy. The harder you push a stressed body the more it holds on. The workout you think is burning fat is actually working against you.

Lifting does the opposite. It builds muscle. Muscle is your metabolism. The more of it you have the more efficiently your body burns fuel at rest. Not during the workout. All day long.

Less cardio. More lifting. More protein. More recovery.

Same woman. Completely different result.
You are not failing your workouts. Your workouts may be failing you.

The Seven Day Hormone Reset is seven days of real protocol built around exactly this- understanding what your body actually needs at this stage of life. The nutrition, the training approach, the recovery. All of it working with your hormones instead of against them.
Women feel it by day 3. Seven days. Seven dollars. Comment RESET or grab it now (link in bio)

She went to her doctor with five symptoms. She left with an anxiety diagnosis.

Not one person tested her hormones.

Waking up at 3am with your heart racing. Brain fog so thick you forget words mid-sentence. Rage that comes from nowhere. Heart palpitations that sent you to cardiology. Joint pain with no injury.
Every single one of those has a name. And it is not anxiety.

When progesterone crashes, your nervous system has nothing to hold it steady through the night. When estrogen declines, your brain loses one of its primary fuels. When your hormones fall out of rhythm with each other, your emotions follow. This is not who you are. This is your biology.

Women are being prescribed antidepressants, anti-anxiety medication, and sent home with pamphlets about stress management while the actual driver, their hormones, goes completely untested.

You are not broken. You are not falling apart. You are in perimenopause and nobody gave you the map.

This is where it starts.

The 7 Day Hormone Reset is seven days of real protocol built around what is actually driving your hormones, your inflammation, your energy. Not tips. Not another plan that ignores your biology. The truth your body has been waiting for.
7 days. $7 dollars.
