📢 Proud to share that the latest issue of Principal magazine features an insightful article by BERC's very own Dr. Sonya Douglass. Titled "Americans Support Inclusive, Equitable Education," the piece explores broad public support for inclusive curricula and diverse viewpoints in education.
Key findings from the poll:
85% agree that students should learn about the history of slavery and racism in the U.S.
78% support challenging students with alternative viewpoints to enhance critical thinking.
56% believe it's crucial for schools to teach the value of diversity.
These insights highlight the strong public backing for inclusive, equitable education and the importance of empowering educators to shape their curriculum.
