MORE Opera (Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble) MORE Opera’s niche is opera in concert. MORE Opera presents Verdi's "AIDA" in concert to benefit Most Precious Blood Church in NYC.

We partner a highly motivated, well trained community chorus with outstanding professionals in an innovative and successful model that attracts performers from all backgrounds and musical levels. The Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble will present a gala opera concert Saturday August 24 at 7:30 pm to benefit Most Precious Blood Church, 109 Mulberry Street in Little Italy , NYC. The church was established in 1888 to serve Italian immigrants. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


Tickets for the benefit are $30 at the door, or $20 in advance through the church office at (212) 226-6427, or by contacting the ADVANCE box office at 212-252-2512 (voice mail) or [email protected]. Proceeds go to the church’s building fund. The Church of the Most Precious Blood in Little Italy began by Vatican decree in the late 1800's, to establish a National Parish for the sole purpose of serving the rapidly growing number of Italian immigrants in New York. The church serves in recognition of the many talents and accomplishments of people of Italian heritage and is the center for the annual San Gennaro Feast.

Tenor Arthur Lai and soprano Cheryl Warfield of MORE Opera are pleased to perform tomorrow, Saturday, 9/19 from 1 to 2 pm in support of small businesses at the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce semi-annual Shop Small Biz Street Fair. We will be singing arias, duets, and Neapolitan songs in preview of a performance at the Feast of San Gennaro on Monday night in Little Italy at 7:30 pm.
