Nos emociona presentar nuestra nueva serie American Composers Series, dedicada a explorar las historias, la música y el legado de compositores estadounidenses desde el pasado hasta la actualidad, en celebración de America 250. Cada publicación incluirá datos interesantes, obras vocales poco conocidas, y música patriótica que ha marcado generaciones.

Join us with the LPAC Community Chorus! 🎶 MORE Opera is offering free vocal training open to all: students, faculty, staff, and neighbors. No experience needed, just a love for music and community. Rehearsals lead up to powerful Juneteenth and July 4th performances celebrating freedom, culture, and unity.

We’ll also be at the 5 de Mayo (Wednesday May 6th) Festival at LaGuardia Community College from 2–4 PM, stop by to meet us and learn how to get involved!

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Turandot, the final opera by Giacomo Puccini. A century later, its powerful music and unforgettable story continue to captivate audiences around the world.
At MORE Opera, Turandot holds a special place in our history and our hearts. We had the joy of presenting this world premiere performance of Maestro Anton Coppola’s extraordinary alternate ending to Puccini’s work under Maestro’s baton in 2017 and will present repeat performances in 2027 at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, conducted by Gregory Buchalter.

Join us for a special symposium exploring Puccini’s Turandot and the many endings that have shaped this legendary composer's unfinished work.

Soprano Cheryl Warfield will present “Fulfilling the Fantastical: The Anton Coppola Alternate Ending to Turandot,” including a musical excerpt from Coppola's ending with pianist Tom Jennings. This event is part of a larger symposium reflecting on the opera’s past, present, and future during the centennial of its premiere.
