What a wonderful first day! 💛
Our classrooms were once again filled with curiosity, creativity, learning, laughter, and so many happy reunions. It was incredibly special to welcome back familiar faces and meet the new children and families joining our HSC community this year.
We are so excited for everything ahead; the discoveries, friendships, experiences, and memories we’ll create together. 🌟

🎤 HIP HOP & BREAKDANCE POP-UP WORKSHOP 🎤
Get ready to move, groove, and have fun!
This summer, we’re excited to welcome Ms. Alexa Annese back to LEAP for a special Hip Hop & Breakdance Workshop!
Alexa is a certified dance educator, choreographer, fitness coach, and graduate of the prestigious Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program at Hunter College. She holds both NYC DOE and New York State Pre-K–12 Dance Certification and has taught in public schools, dance studios, summer camps, after-school programs, and college settings.
Her professional experience includes performances and training with renowned institutions such as Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Broadway Dance Center, The Ailey School, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet, as well as appearances in entertainment and television, including Law & Order: SVU.
Most importantly, Alexa is passionate about helping children build confidence, creativity, and self-expression through movement in a fun and supportive environment.

📚✨ Did you know that LEAP offers individualized tutoring and test preparation programs?
From academic support to specialized exam prep, including TACHS preparation for Catholic and specialized high schools, our team is dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen skills, and reach their goals.
Here, our Founder and Educational Director, Dr. Maria Casale, is working one-on-one with a student during a tutoring session at LEAP. 💡

A wild day at the Staten Island Zoo 🦎🐍🦒✨
Our HSC students spent the day exploring, observing animals up close, asking questions, and making memories together. From lemurs and reptiles to big cats and hands-on presentations, there was excitement around every corner. 🌿
We love giving children opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and connect with the world through real experiences. 🤍

📚💙 One of our LEAP families is heading to Albany this week to participate in Dyslexia Advocacy Day 2026: Literacy Access for All — advocating for stronger literacy support, early screening, and better educational resources for children with dyslexia and learning differences.
At LEAP, we proudly welcome learners of ALL abilities and believe every child deserves an educational experience that helps them thrive, feel confident, and discover their strengths.
We are so proud of our families who use their voice to advocate not only for their own children, but for so many others across New York State. 💙
