Human Rights + Human Development = Human Justice
Fresh off of appointments at the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, and the United Nations Headquarters in NYC, K Bain visits St. Francis College to share his wisdom with visiting students from University of Navarra in Spain. As founder of Community Capacity Development and 696 Build Queensbridge, former New York City Director of Legislation and Budgetary Affairs for District 45 of the City Council, and Commissioner to New York City’s Mayoral Racial Justice Committee, K Bain is a leader in the community of Brooklyn and one of the world’s most salient advocates for human rights. His methodology for human justice has changed the lives of many, and we are honored to host him here as an SFC Human Rights Fellow.

Shoutout to our international student Kalifa Jordan who attended the NAFAC (Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference) conference earlier this month!
“This was my first time attending NAFAC. The topic focus for this year was “Democracies divided; the proliferation of polarization”. I am overjoyed and grateful that I was able to be a part of this prestigious opportunity to not only represent my school but also my country Guyana. The round table I was placed in was Freedom of Speech vs. Freedom from Hate where I was able to engage in meaningful debates and conversations regarding hate speech in both the U.S and our respective countries. Moreso being nominated as the best delegate for my round table. I enjoyed hospitality and the patriotism at the naval academy, as well as making new friends and networks.”
