RISING CITY ARTS IS HIRING!

We are thrilled to welcome back collaborations for NYC Actors and Teaching Artists and Schools this Spring!
At present, we are seeking experienced theatre-based Teaching Artists for acting and performance focused residencies for Middle School children located in Manhattan. Teaching Artist will guide student groups through a theatrical experience, from auditions through performances of fully staged scenes from important classic plays.
Ideal candidate holds a Bachelors Degree and has experience working in a school classroom setting as a Theatre-Based Teaching Artist.

When we return to our new normal, let us shine a light on the importance of the Arts in our daily lives. Theatre in particular is a divine way to share our collective stories, our empathy, to express our delight or pain and to connect deeply with one another as we create a piece of art together.
At Rising City Arts, we will fight to keep Theatre Arts in Education alive in NYC and the Lower Hudson Valley.

Thank you, Florida Public Library for your continued theatre arts partnership. Once again, an intelligent and spunky group of tweens to make art with. I am so grateful! And... this sculpture is divine!!!

Sending heaps and loads of gratitude for 4 fantastically funny weeks at the Greenwood Lake Library with these fine Improvisers (all not pictured). During each Comedy Improvisation Class, your willingness to be silly, to focus and say "Yes, and" was admirable. I had so much fun with you and I am eager to play again this Fall!!
And three cheers to Mary at The GL Library for sticking with me and for being so kind.

Hooray for another thrilling year of theatre-making at PS 69 in the Bronx! You all shined brightly during these wonderful original plays with audience discourses. You were being brave and adventurous! Many thanks to Teaching Artists, Jessica and Nicolas for their creativity and talents. Happy summer, all!!!

I was so fortunate to collaborate as Teaching Artist with Ms. Barry and this incredible group of Epiphany 6th Graders this year! They reminded me that working hard, collaborating well and dedication oneself to the good of the creative project makes for an engaging theatrical experience. You blew me away with you kindness and talents. Thank you all for your beautifully moving scenes from "The Diary of Anne Frank".

Congratulations to Epiphany 7th Graders on their wonderfully performed scenes from "A Midsummer Night's Dream"!
And what a treat to have Co-Founder Julian Rozzell's gifts back in the Rising City classrooms this year. Thanks you friend!
