Hi everyone! We are hosting a two-part workshop on machine learning and its applications in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). On Wednesday, November 20th from 7:30pm - 9:00pm, there will be a workshop on campus to learn more about the fundamentals of machine learning and how it can be applied to DeepRacer. On Friday, November 22nd from 2:00pm-4:00pm, the students who participate in this workshop will travel to AWS’s offices downtown to learn more about ML and its applications and see DeepRacer in action! Due to the nature of the event, we have to cap the number of students that can attend. Please note that you MUST attend both events if you are selected as a participant. ATTENTION!
Columbia Data Science Society is starting a Women in Data Science mentorship program that lasts from February to April 2019, aiming to inspire and support more female-identifying students to join the data science field. During this mentorship program, we will have data science mentors (from Uber, Two Sigma and Facebook, to name a few) connect with a select group of undergraduate and graduate female-identifying mentee-students interested in pursuing data science careers. We are now accepting applications to become a mentee.
