Yesterday was an incredible day surrounded by fantastic educators, young musicians, several of my former professors, and former students who came to help out as I co-chair my first NYSSMA Brooklyn Majors festival at a new location .nyc with the unmatched What a great way to come back to campus, and already looking forward to next years festival! 🎼🎵🖤🤍

Yamaha asked each of the 40 Under 40 teachers to share some of the things we wanted new teachers to know. I have to admit some of these I had no clue would be so important in my first year but have made all the difference. So grateful 🖤🤍

Two years ago I got to join an incredible team of musicians and educators from all over NYC for this amazing FREE program for students planning to audition for performing arts schools!

I was brought in to develop the piano studio portion of the program and get to work with almost 70 instrumentalists each summer for their audition prep. We get many favorable outcomes through the program :) Please share this program with any families in NYC you think may be interested.

This is one way that artists choose to impact change. Grateful to have studied with Jeffrey Biegel in college for all that I was able to learn, and proud to share the way he uses music to carve the path forward.

Jeffrey Biegel’s ‘Rhapsody in Red, White & Blue’ Unites Orchestras Across All 50 States Jeffrey Biegel's newly commissioned orchestral work, Rhapsody in Red, White & Blue, has become the largest nationwide collaboration ever assembled for a new musical composition.

So proud of our students at Salute To Music NYC in the Brooklyn Concert Band for their performance in our showcase yesterday. We decided to welcome their families, friends, and the community to showcase the program and the work they have been doing since just October. We were even able to do some major recruiting for the program!

If you have 4-8th graders in your life who are in band at school and love playing their instrument, please consider sharing the information about this program with their grown-ups! Auditions are on a rolling basis weekly.**It is FREE to all NYC DOE students.**
