Newly hired school secretaries were invited to an NYCPS-sponsored orientation held last week at UFT headquarters!
This year’s cohort received a wealth of valuable information from none other than the NYCPS Field Office Support Team. They were also welcomed by UFT President, Michael Mulgrew, who offered words of encouragement as they begin their new roles.
UFT School Secretaries Chapter Leader Sheryl Pender also addressed the group, sharing information about the many support systems, resources, and staff available to assist them throughout their journey as school secretaries.
Members of the School Secretaries Chapter Executive Board were also on hand throughout the day, lending a helping hand, answering questions, and welcoming our newest colleagues to the chapter.
All in all, this grateful group left with a wealth of information, resources, and support to help them start the school year strong.
