The One Love School Drive, an Island Futures Fund initiative, is off to an incredible start. The love has been REAL.

Donations are coming in through GoFundMe, Amazon, in-kind supplies, and local drop-offs. Partnerships are already forming with the National Education Trust, UWI School of Education, Foundation & more.

But this work is just beginning. Many schools along Jamaica’s coast lost roofs, books, uniforms, furniture and even entire classrooms. Recovery will take time, and our students and teachers will need us for the long haul.

Big News. Announcing the Founding Schools of RAIL

is thrilled to announce the founding schools of RAIL! These schools successfully applied to be part of the launch of the world’s first endorsement for schools in AI. You can see the full list below.

We believe that generative AI will be the most transformative technology since the public Internet. Some of the transformational effects will be positive. Some will be corrosive. As an accreditor whose purpose in the world is to inspire wise change, it is our responsibility to guide schools in the responsible adoption of AI. 

At stake is the welfare of students, teachers and staff, and ultimately the common good. That is why RAIL stands for “Responsible AI in Learning.”

The RAIL founding schools will become the first in the world to earn an endorsement in “AI Literacy, Safety, and Ethics.” It is an implementation framework, not just a set of lofty principles, and you can see the implementation evidence that they will produce here.

We have preserved a few spots for late applicants to the RAIL founding cohorts, so if you want to join this group apply by April 18. Future cohorts will start in Spring 2025.

Congratulations to our RAIL founding schools! Over the next few months, we will share their achievements, lessons learned, and more.
