And we’re back. It’s been a tough year but what a gift it was to be back in the classroom all together. Divers hard at work while Lenny teaches college level discussion techniques.

We’d like to thank the class of 2022, our current seniors, for pushing through the hurdles of rebuilding our equipment locker. NYHS’s Professional Diving Program now has an active fill station and better storage.

No google maps for divers!
Our junior class has been working to gain confidence in their navigation skills. Beginning with Compass work and counting strides students help each other to achieve proper recovery patterns professional divers use in the field.

We got wrenches!! Our first Donors Choose order came in today after so many generations donations. Keep reading to see why we need them!

Our Scuba inventory is largely made up of Donated gear. Aluminum and steel Scuba tanks must be serviced yearly to ensure their security. Life support equipment must be serviced every 50 dives. In the field of diving our gear is our life support, making sure it is in proper condition and care is vital to our students safety. Students Benefit most from hands-on experiential based learning in this program.
These materials will teach students to service tanks and regulators.
Skills in gear servicing make our students better trained candidates for jobs in professional diving and responsible gear owners.

HELP DIVING STUDENTS GET SERVICE SUPPLIES!

Pictured here is Lenny servicing one of our scuba tanks. An equally time consuming and important task. Scuba tanks must be serviced yearly to maintain and ensure the security of each tank.

Life support gear is the base of our program. Through experiential learning, our students become better trained candidates for jobs in professional diving and responsible gear owners.

Our program is currently in need of tools for teaching these servicing skills! All donations are greatly appreciated. If you use the code LIFTOFF at checkout you can double our donations!!
