We hope you all enjoyed our first panel yesterday! Marisa, Jodie and Jonathan all shared such great advice and gave valuable insight into the industry. We are looking forward to hosting our next event and seeing you all there!
Hello everyone! Just a reminder that we will be holding our first panel tomorrow, September 21st, in Room 4-09 from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Lunch will be served!
We will have three panelists joining us to discuss their experiences in the industry and answer any questions you may have. The panelists will be:
Marisa DiLemme - Sony Music
Jodie Shihadeh - The Davis Firm
Jonathan Pardo - Free Association
This will be a very informative panel and we encourage you all to attend!
Our third panelist will be Jonathan Pardo! Jonathan holds an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis (class of ’00) and a law degree from Fordham Law School (class of ’06). Starting at Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a law clerk for several years he moved to The David Firm, PLLC as an associate and then as Of Counsel at Gray, Krauss, Stratford, Sandler, Des Rochers LLP before starting his own music management firm Free Association that manages the careers of Boyce Avenue, MisterWives, MILKMAN, Curtis Peoples and TRACES. Jonathan Pardo thinks the Marvin Gaye / Blurred Lines decision was the worst legal decision in years, consolidation is bad for the music industry and that everyone should read the book “Ticket Masters - The Rise of the Concert Industry and How the Public Got Scalped”. Jonathan Pardo also thinks that talking about yourself in the third person is the first sign of losing your mind.
