"When you ask for signs from the universe, the universe speaks back."
I'm a firm believer that messages are all around us but we have to look. Blue jays have been visiting me daily for about a month now. The universe was sending me a very loud message. This was calling to me to paint.
Sometimes I look up to the sky smile and say " I know that was you. " 💙

It's been turbulent and unsettled. I found myself lost inside this storm rolling into frame.

Pushing myself on these latest and trying to work more loosely with my pastels. This has always been a challenge for me. So I've just been creating quick and simple studies.

"When I look at the night sky, I am at peace. I am reminded of the light always present."

Growing up, I saw a pictures of the aurora and was mesmerized by its lines dancing across the night sky. Legend says the northern lights are the spirits of our ancestors sending messages across planes. It's our connection to them. I like to believe in that.
This was a heavy week in my school district. And I was inspired by the sea of green I saw throughout communities, shaken by tragedy, but united as one.
