What kills practice? Expectation. When we expect our practice to be “like it was.” When we expect our practice to yield a specific result, we’re slowly, but surely dampening our relationship with our practice. Just as in any relationship expectation kills the vibe and the connection, so too in practice. What’s the antidote? you might ask. Come to your practice with fresh energy and curiosity. You bring the thirst, and the interest, and watch your practice blossom.
