One of the things we seem to struggle the most in life is being able to respond in a calm and rational manner to stressful situations, people and life in general.
Meditation helps to calm and clear the mind, gain a perspective and awareness to notice what is happening within us and around us at any given moment. It creates a moment of stillness which provide us an opportunity to respond in a way that is most beneficial to everyone involved. It helps us to get untangled from the tension of our own mind, that has a natural tendency to fight, flee or get in our face with very fearful thoughts.
In this blog post I share a very simple, very traditional meditation practice that changed my life. I took the time to break it down and describe all the steps in as much detail as I could so it would help someone else the way it has been helping me. Please try it and share with those who might benefit from it. đđ»

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, I am constantly in the process of figuring things out. Being inspired to start a creative project or business is one thing, but getting clear about our goals and doing everything "right" to bring that project to life in the way that is fulfilling to our soul (and our pocket) is another trick that most beginning entrepreneurs struggle with.
In this video Sarah Negus, a "modern day shaman" as well as a successful business-woman and coach, shares her valuable insight into creating a successful business by getting clear about who we are, what our purpose is, what we are trying to achieve and aligning our energy in a way that allows us to realize our vision.
How to Create a Successful Business (It's Not What You Think)
As an entrepreneur, business owner, corporate executive you may well be practiced in being really busy. In doing everything because you believe this is the w...

"The key is that God, Guru and self are one.
The quickest way to get through your stuff is to learn how to listen inside. The inner guru is always there for you once you recognize it. You must honor your own path. You must be able to trust that there is a place in you that knows what is best. There is a tendency to look to others for guidance. Only you know what is suitable for you.
Trust your intuitive heart. The Quakers call it, "The still small voice within." When it speaks, listen. If it feels "right on" do it."

"Love" - Written by K.K. Sah :
Enter into an Indian family and then you can understand love. Love does not wait for logic and is the easiest path of all.
The first test of love is that it knows no bargainingâtrue love cannot exist in an arrangement by two parties. Love is always the giver not the taker.
Love can conquer everything. It is the best medicine. It can take you to God because love is God.
It is all powerful. It knows no fear. It is the highest ideal
Love is higher than work, than yoga, than knowledge, although the highest forms of love and wisdom are in reality one.
Duty is seldom sweet. It becomes sweet only through love which shines only in freedom.
Every motion is a circle. Therefore do not hate anyone because that hatred which comes out of you must in the long run come back to you. When you send love it will naturally come back to you, completing the circle.
Love attracts human beings to each other, animals to animals and all of creation in an endless embrace.
Love manifests from the lowest atom to the highest being- it is omnipotent and all pervading.
Love is the one motive power that pervades the entire universe - unattached - yet shining in everything and without which the whole universe would fall to pieces in a moment.
- K.K. Sah, a lifelong devotee of Maharaji and a close family friend of Ram Dass (mentioned in the famous book "Be Here Now" by Ram Dass). K.K. passed away at his home in the town of Nainital in Northern India on January 14th, 2020. (Love Serve Remember Foundation newsletter)

"When you make your life about your self-evolution, everything else becomes nothing more than a vehicle for personal growth." - Vishen Lakhiani
I find this to be very true. I believe that our main mission in this (and every other) lifetime is to learn and grow. Our life circumstances are constantly changing. Sometimes they are pleasant and sometimes they are not, sometimes we can change them and sometimes we can't. But notice how much growth and wisdom you take away from any difficult situation, failed relationship or hardship that life has thrown your way.
When I got laid off from my full-time job with one week's notice earlier this year, my mind's first impulse was to freak out: "This was a remote job I wanted so badly. What the hell am I going to do now?" But it only took me two minutes to pull myself together and remember that this too was an opportunity for personal growth. Firstly, it's an opportunity to practice acceptance of what is already happening right now and move forward without resisting it. In moments like these it is important to not let the victim mentality take over with questions like "why me? why now?" and statements like "nothing ever works out for me; it's ... person's fault; I am a failure and I'll keep on failing." Secondly, when one door closes - another one will always open. Getting out of the comfort zone, learning something new, meeting new people are all perfect opportunities for growth.
Luckily, my default setting is to be optimistic and I've decided that loosing my job was an opportunity for a new beginning, perhaps even something better than what I had before. Almost five months later, I can say that my life has been nothing short of magical and I am very grateful for the way things have been unfolding. I've had so many awesome opportunities to do things, go places, meet people, heal myself, start new creative projects that I wouldn't have had if I still had that job. Most importantly, I definitely would not be as happy as I am right now, not because I have a more successful, better paying career - I don't, but because I live my life more authentically doing things I enjoy. I wish all of you the same in the New Year and always! đ„°

âThere is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium, and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.â â Martha Graham

I've been thinking a lot about my life's purpose this year, almost obsessively trying to find that one big thing I am meant to do (đ already laughing at myself), or the main lesson I am supposed to learn in this lifetime, while my intuition & inspiration keep on nudging me to do completely different, unrelated things. This post gave me a much needed fresh perspective and I was finally able to give myself permission to relax and let go of the chase.
A beautiful note to self.

If you feel you are holding some emotional pain in your body, try this guided meditation. The truth is, we all do. Every time I do this meditation, so much comes up. When we work with our past hurts allowing them to come up and release, we let go of the stuck energy that covers up our true nature which is clarity, peace and joy.
This particular practice brilliantly combines the best of psychotherapy and meditation. So set aside 30 minutes, find a quiet space, sit comfortably and get ready to go on a journey. https://insig.ht/Ro66jy4mv1

Just as I came out of my private session with Maribai, I bumped into this guy. I though it was funny, because since this summer different spiritual teachers have been revealed to me literally one after another. Although, Iâve been on this path for the past four years, itâs been kind of a lonely journey until now. This year I started connecting with like-minded people and learning from actual teachers and not just books.
Sadhguru is a celebrity in a spiritual world. If you look up his name on YouTube, youâll find his countless talks on all kinds of topics. Here are some fun facts about him: he had episodes of spontaneous enlightenment where he felt one with everything and sat in meditation without moving for 14 days which to him felt like a few hours; his wife consciously left her body (died) when she felt like her life was perfect and it was a good time to go - a practice apparently normal for yogis in the East.
Not completely sure I am going to see him yet, but I have a girlfriend who is really into him, so we might. Let me know if youâd want to join us.
