Our students recently participated in an open and engaging conversation with Marlon Rice, who is currently running for State Senate.
During this meaningful discussion, students shared their thoughts on issues affecting their communities, spoke about what they see and experience daily, and explored ways to create positive change. Topics ranged from education and safety to opportunity and representation.
We are proud to provide opportunities like this that allow students to use their voices, think critically, and engage directly with community leaders. These moments help shape informed, confident, and empowered future leaders.

As we close out this month, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible women on our staff in honor of International Women’s Day. 💐
We are truly grateful to have such dedicated, passionate, and inspiring women on our team. Every day, they make a meaningful impact—not only within our school community, but in the lives of our students, families, and beyond.
Today, we’re proud to highlight just a few of the amazing women doing this important work, with many more to celebrate in the future. Thank you for all that you do. We couldn’t do this without you.

It’s hard to believe Civics Week earlier this month has already come and gone, but the impact continues to resonate throughout our school community.
Our students engaged in meaningful conversations about advocacy, civic responsibility, and the importance of using their voices to create change.
We extend our sincere thanks to Nadeen Gayle from Brooklyn Community Board 3 for visiting and sharing her knowledge and experiences. Her message reminded our students that their voices matter and that they have the power to make a difference right in their own communities.
We are proud to provide opportunities like this that help shape informed, engaged, and empowered future leaders.

We had so much fun with our Senior Grandparents Day theme! The best part? Our amazing staff got in on the action, too.
There’s something special about a school where students and staff can laugh together, dress up, and celebrate the journey toward graduation. Whether they were 18 or "80" today, the spirit of our school has never looked better!

Earlier this month, we were thrilled to welcome back one of our own, Christelle Adrien (Class of 2023), to the halls of Clara Barton High School for Health Professions.
Since graduating from our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program, Christelle has been busy making her mark in the healthcare world. She took the time to return to campus to sit down with our current Junior LPN students, offering them a "real-world" look at the profession.
From answering tough questions to sharing her journey from student to LPN, her insight was truly invaluable. We are so proud of your success, Christelle, and we deeply appreciate your giving back to the Clara Barton community! 💙👩⚕️

Last week, our Librarian, Stephany Weaver, represented Clara Barton High School for Health Professions on The TODAY Show!
She joined a panel of distinguished librarians to discuss innovative ways to inspire a love of reading in our students.
The segment even featured a special message from former First Lady Laura Bush, honoring the tireless work librarians do every day.
At Clara Barton, we know that literacy is the foundation of success in the health professions and beyond. We are so honored to have Ms. Weaver be a part of a conversation such as this on a national level!
Help us congratulate Ms. Weaver in the comments below! 👇💬

This Women’s History Month, Clara Barton High School for Health Professions proudly celebrates the strength, courage, grace, and brilliance of women everywhere.
As a school with a proud history of empowering young women, once an all-girls institution, we honor the generations who walked our halls and went on to serve, lead, and transform communities through healthcare and beyond. Their resilience and impact continue to shape who we are today.
We are equally inspired by the young women in our classrooms who are preparing to become the next generation of healthcare professionals, leaders, and change-makers.
Here’s to the women who paved the way, the women making history now, and the young women who will shape the future.
