Meet - the first ever deaf-blind graduate from School. As if graduating from Harvard Law wasn’t enough, Girma has worked hard to achieve the highest of honors in spite of her disabilities. Girma, an Eritrean-American is an advocate for civil rights regarding people with disabilities--and she’s going to make a phenomenal lawyer. Congrats Haben! -

you can do it too. whatever IT may be.

"Would you believe that my mom had me at the tender age of 14 and she became my guardian angel at 8 years old? Would you believe that my father was incarcerated the majority of my youth years and a struggling addict? Would believe that every one expected me to be a statistic? Would you believe that I once thought that I wasn't good enough to be a doctor? I thought I was too dark, too poor, too stressed, too broken, too scared, too insecure, and too alone to thrive in a career limited to African Americans.

But God... He makes all things possible. I'm living proof that you can break generational curses! Thank you Meharry School of Greatness for calling me on December 1st 2011 and saving my life. Out of all the things I've been through, all the struggles, good, bad, and ugly, God has never left my side. He makes Dreams Come True.

Troops, we have 190 days left until graduation. Family and friends, thank you for your impeccable support. I love you all. P.S. I love you daddy, so happy God placed you back in my life." -Shonteral

Love it! Here's to a strong finish, Shonteral!
