As our Student Ambassador spotlight series comes to a close, today we're featuring current 3L Carmen Florez and her Summer 2025 experience! "I was a Litigation Summer Associate at Rosenberg & Estes, a Real Estate Law Firm based out of Manhattan, and I continued to clerk for them during the Fall 2025 semester. I never initially would have predicted I would go into Real Estate, but this summer introduced me to a field of the law so vast that there is something for everyone. I enjoyed my time at R&E and learned that for me, the people I work with are just as important as the work I do."

"In addition to my work with Ropes & Gray, I also got to participate in very fun summer associate events, including a sunset sail around Manhattan and a Yankees game. Meet Amil, a current 2L in our Evening Division! Reflecting on his experience during Summer 2025, Amil says: "One of my primary tasks involved assisting with the drafting and submission of complex real estate documents. My other duties included assisting clients with real estate transactions such as the purchase and sale of Co-op, Condos, multifamily houses, and mixed use properties throughout New York State."

As we step into 2026, we’re still celebrating our Student Ambassadors’ incredible Summer 2025 experiences. Next in the spotlight: Cole Mullins, Class of 2027! “This summer, I attended Weaving Dialogue: Fraternal Cities for Peace in Castel Gandolfo, Italy, joining students and scholars from around the world to engage in dialogue on global challenges and integral ecology. Fordham Law prepared me for this experience by teaching me how to be an effective leader, encouraging me to contribute insightful and thoughtful comments in discussions, and instilling the importance of treating others with compassion and kindness. “

As 2025 wraps up, we're still reminiscing about our Student Ambassadors' amazing Summer experiences! Kellie Jones, a current 2L in our Evening Division, reflects on her experience as a Law Clerk/Extern with the Knights of Columbus Legal Department: "I had the opportunity to work closely with in-house counsel on a variety of legal matters across multiple practice areas, including intellectual property and trademark infringement, estate and claims law, compliance, and tax law."
