Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences MA at Columbia University: Flexible advanced training in data science and social science in New York City

Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) is a flexible, interdisciplinary, applied statistics and data science MA program at Columbia University. For over 20 years, QMSS has been training graduate students to use sophisticated quantitative techniques to thrive in an increasingly data-rich world. QMSS counts hundreds of data scientists, senior analysts, research directors, and Ph.D.'s among its alumni, working at top institutions within academia, finance, data science, marketing, analytics, tech, and public policy. Students learn - and put into practice - the most valuable methodological innovations from computer science, economics, history, political science, psychology, sociology and statistics. Via its Innovation Lab, QMSS students frequently work with industry partners and nonprofit organizations on critical data projects.
