Daniel Pérez had a transformative experience as a Nativity student. Today he leads their national coalition of schools.
Mr. Pérez is now the executive director of the NativityMiguel Coalition, a national network of faith-based schools that follow the Nativity model for helping children prepare for rigorous high school curricula.

Greetings to all NMC graduates, former teachers and administrators, donors, neighbors and friends.
Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas and a healthy New Year.
I want to share with you a reflection by Henry Fernandez, class of 1986. I believe that Henry's words are as applicable to us today as they were in 1986:
Nativity means the birth of Jesus.
People in the past thought that the messiah was going to be rich, but we know that he was poor.
His bed was made of hay and he was wrapped in a piece of cloth.
The first people who saw Jesus were Joseph and Mary.
Then the shepherds came.
Then the Wise Men and they brought gifts, like gold.
Nativity School is like the first Nativity ...
Nativity is poor.
The students who come here are poor.
The teachers are poor, too.
Like Jesus' parents, Joseph and Mary, who wanted hi to have a good life, our parents want us to have a new life and a good one too.
At Nativity we have wise men, too.
We call them teachers.
We learn from them and they learn from us.
The students here follow their star like the wise men did.
We are going to become better at what we want to become.
After the first Nativity, Jesus turned out to be a good man who helped and cared for people.
He loved them like brothers and sisters.
Now we are Nativity. I hope we are living like he did, full of love for our friends and families.
Thanks, Henry

Fr. Jack wanted to share a recent email from a former Nativity teacher.
December 6, 2017
Jack,
Greetings from Denver. I hope all is well with you.
Later this afternoon, the chair of our Board will announce that I've been selected as Arrupe Jesuit's next president.
I am thrilled, nervous, humbled, and hopeful. But, most importantly, I am also grateful, grateful for the many lessons you taught a knuckle-headed Brooklyn boy all those years ago. I think you would find much of what we do at Arrupe to be incredibly familiar. So, despite the rumors from Regis, I really am a good student!
And, you may remember, you are the one who sent me the first email regarding the plans for the Society to open a Cristo Rey school. So, I thank you for the many ways you have contributed to this work.
Below you will find a copy of the picture that I used during my interview with the committee. I think you'll find that familiar too.
God Bless,
Michael J. O'Hagan
Principal
Arrupe Jesuit High School

For those who cannot attend Fr. Jack's Happy Hour but would still like to donate, we do have a GoFundme page set up where all donations will go to the scholarship funds for the members of the last Nativity Graduating class.

Happy Belated Father's Day to all our fellow Nativity Brothers! As we all know, Father Jack Podsiadlo has played an integral part in shaping & molding us to become the educated and successful men we are today. Whether it was assisting with homework, guiding us on retreats, or just lending a car...
