We are excited to announce that we are currently touring for the July 2022 Session and Fall 2022 - 2023 school year!

ERCDC has been serving young children with special needs in the bilingual community for over 30 years. We are a highly respected and well-regarded program. At this time, we have numerous bilingual and monolingual seats available.

-Bilingual (Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin) and English center-based classrooms serving students with language, learning, sensory-integration, and social-emotional delays, as well as students identified with ASD.

-Parent Partnership. ERCDC's Bilingual Social Workers, Clinicians and Teachers work collaboratively with parents to support their child's learning, language, social, and motor progress.

-ERCDC is a Mentoring Program ERCDC partners with New York University and CUNY Hunter in the placement of student teachers and student clinicians. ERCDC collaborates with Teach for America as a placement for first year teachers.

-LRE ERCDC prepares students for success in the mainstream. More than 50% of our graduating students transition to general education or ICT.

Private Preschool in Manhattan seeks a full time Classroom Teacher.

Must have: NYS Certification: Special Education or Students with Dis (B- 2)

Bilingual Certification a plus

Special Education Classroom Teacher Responsibilities include:

*Collaborate with families and service providers to support and share the educational needs of the students to meet their IEP Goals and Objectives

*Plan and provide educational services to assist the student in meeting their IEP Goals

*Maintain proper documentation to comply with state and city regulations

*Maintain progress reports and participate in meetings related to the student

Required Education and Experience:

BS/Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education

Skills & Knowledge:

*Plan and provide educational services to 3 to 5 year old children with Special Needs

*Collaborate with family and multi-disciplinary teams to develop goals and outcomes for children

*Educate family members on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement

Now Hiring: Teacher’s Aide

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional duties for children with special needs by assessing individual capabilities and needs; aide in implementing individual education plans; confer with parents and other school professionals; maintain classroom records and :

*One-to-one to an assigned student.

*Assist student in physical care tasks and health related activities.

*Assist student with management needs by reinforcing behavior through the use of positive supports.

*Aide in meeting special education goals of assigned student by following teacher requirements and utilizing materials and activities to enable your student to experience success.

* As directed, utilize appropriate teaching strategies, remedial instruction, and behavioral interventions. Adapt materials and activities to meet developmental needs and provide guidance for helping children.

* Convey information to students by employing language concepts, examples, demonstrations teaching aides and resources.

* Guide student’s personal and social development by following established rules and procedures for student movement within the classroom, between classrooms, and on the playground.

* Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements.

* Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
