The Chocolate Revolution

The Chocolate Revolution Who knew a little bit of chocolate could make so much change? The Chocolate Revolution Tour 2011 kicks off Friday, February 4th!!!

Buy Fair-trade chocolate to do your part in making the world a sweeter place:) When you buy fair-trade, you ensure that farmers are paid a fair wage for their labor. The Chocolate Revolution Tour 2011 will be an interactively sweet experience focused around fair-trade chocolate, music and education. Headlined by Left On Red with performances from Grace Lynn Stumberg and artwork by Tanya Zabinski,

the week-long tour will span 7 cities across New York State with evening performances at venues and educational initiatives in high schools and radio and press interviews throughout each day. The Chocolate Revolution Tour will happen just two days before Valentine’s Day, a time where everyone is buying and receiving chocolate.“It is important to know that not all chocolates are created equal. Unfortunately, unless the chocolate we buy is fair-trade certified, it is most likely sourced from slave labor, primarily forced child labor on the West Coast of Africa,” state Left On Red’s Liah Alonso and Kelly Halloran.
