We are proud to support our friend of CPPD, Gorgette Green-Hodnett, as a contributing voice in the anthology THRIVE: Breaking Free from Survival Mode in Education—a powerful collection of real stories from real educators navigating the realities of this work.
Before joining the University of Maryland, College Park’s Teaching and Learning Center, Gorgette spent 23 years in Charles County Public Schools as a math educator, mentor teacher, and instructional leader. Those experiences shaped her purpose—and continue to guide the work she does today.
As a forever educator, she made it her mission to create space for mid-career and veteran teachers to feel seen, supported, and re-energized. Through “Coach Gee,” she works to inspire educators to hold on to their faith, prioritize what matters most, and rediscover a sense of peace and purpose in their lives and careers.
Gorgette is excited and honored to be part of this project and to uplift this important work.
