Every Summer College Faculty Masterclass Week begins with a KICKOFF MEETING with our MTCA Leadership Team to help you navigate the week, set your intentions for success, and receive invaluable advice specifically targeted from our many years of success with this event.
Last year, Lysie Jordan (MTCA Song Coach and Ithaca MT Grad) shared some great advice about TAKING NOTES from your work. Don't assume you'll remember - write it down. These notes are great to reference for your supplemental essay writing, too!
Summer College Faculty Masterclass Week 2026 is August 1st-8th, complete with masterclasses from 14 schools, Broadway Q&As, Broadway show, alumni panels, parent meetings, and a whole week of competitive prep to jumpstart you into the new school year! Excellent for rising Juniors too!!

These seniors - many of whom started with us as SOPHOMORES - made this process their full time job. They took advantage of mocks and masterclasses and stayed consistent with their one-on-one coaching. These successes don't just happen. They're the result of YEARS of hard work! Class of 2026, YOU DID IT!

This webinar is IMPORTANT π₯
The most successful families work together early. What should students be handling? Where should parents step in? How involved is *too* involved?
This week's webinar, "Parent vs. Student Responsibilities", is all about creating healthy communication, clear expectations, and a strong support system before senior year begins.
This process works best as a family effort!

This year we had FOURTEEN schools participate in MTCA Private Auditions throughout the winter. Besides getting a lot of meaningful time in the audition room, MTCA students and parents had access to Faculty Q&As with each school! All 14 of these schools waived a prescreen for our MTCA students.
We are so proud of these statistics that demonstrate the value of these personalized auditions! π₯

Thinking about starting with MTCA, but not sure if you can continue to work with your home coaches? Well, with MTCAβ¦you can! We do not pressure our families into any packages of the process they do not need. We do not make you pay large sums of money upfront in order to work with us. This process is daunting enough as it is. However, it can be much less stressful when you're led with successful experts in the college process. Our only ruleβ¦you have to prioritize your time (not everybody can have access to your valuable time). Also β you have to budget. This process does get overwhelming, but knowing the strategically smart places to invest your time and money is key.
And always keep in mind that MTCAβs strength is providing expert guidance that is informed by the nation-wide (and global) talent pool, working relationships with the very programs youβre auditioning for, and expertise on what is different about THIS PROCESS as it compares to a regular audition. Weβve got your back COMPREHENSIVELY throughout this process. π₯

We could not be more THRILLED for MTCA Alum Ali Louis Bourzgui and his TONY NOMINATION for Best Featured Actor in a Musical!!! π₯
Ali was in the MTCA Class of 2017 where he participated in mocks and masterclasses leading up to his acceptance and final decision at Ithaca for MT. He DID THE WORK during the college process and has continued that momentum through his career.
MTCA students and parents will be seeing Ali in "The Lost Boys" this August as part of our Summer College Faculty Masterclass week - we even get to do a talkback with him and the cast after the show! Nothing like celebrating our incredible MTCA Alum β€οΈπ₯
