Jim Henson would have been 90 years old today... RIP. ❤ Jim was one of the most creative minds in television and entertainment. He began working with puppets in the 1950s while still in college, never imagining that his creations would eventually become known around the world.

His early television work eventually led to Sesame Street in 1969, where characters like Kermit the Frog helped introduce generations of children to a new kind of educational television. Then came The Muppet Show in 1976, followed by movies including The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, and The Muppets Take Manhattan. He continued stretching his imagination with projects such as Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth. Jim wasn't simply a puppeteer. He was a writer, director, producer, performer, and an incredibly creative storyteller. He died in 1990 at only 53, but the characters and worlds he helped create are still making people smile decades later.
