Quick week-long trip to meet with students, check out our new project house, commission furniture, setup the RRLP office and lab spaces, and meet with new staff. Super productive trip and knocked out a bunch of tasks! Exhausted but reinvigorated! Until August, Madagascar! 🇲🇬 ✌️

Thank you to the Facets of Evolution group at UMass Amherst! Dr. Baden got to share our latest research, meet lots of great graduate students, and catch-up with old friends from grad school!

A burst of new life in Madagascar’s forests: ruffed lemurs are pregnant and giving birth in numbers not seen before.
But scientists say this boom is not just cause for celebration. It could be a sign of underlying trouble — habitat cracking under pressure, food supply shifting, and survival becoming uncertain.
